A wonderfully decorative vintage milk glass pedestal bowl, with an airy openwork design that gives this substantial piece a surprisingly graceful presence.
The wide bowl is surrounded by a beautifully detailed pierced lattice rim, echoed again around the footed base. A sculptural open pedestal stem connects the two, creating an architectural silhouette that is especially striking in classic opaque white milk glass.
At 8½ inches across and 8 inches tall, it has enough scale to make a lovely centerpiece on a dining table, sideboard, or kitchen island. Beautiful filled with fruit or seasonal finds, and equally handsome left empty where the intricate form can stand on its own.
