A wonderfully simple vintage Ballerina Mist bowl by Universal Potteries, finished in the palest robin’s-egg blue with subtle green undertones and a creamy ivory interior.
The substantial rounded form is finished with a slender silver-tone rim, now beautifully aged with time. At 7.5 inches across and just over 4 inches deep, it is a particularly useful size—lovely for fruit on the kitchen counter, serving at the table, or simply stacked among collected pottery.
The underside bears the original Universal Oven-Proof, Union Made in U.S.A. mark. Ballerina Mist is known for its distinctive soft blue coloring, which can shift from pale blue to blue-green depending on the light.
