A wonderfully charming vintage cow creamer by Royal Crownford in the Charlotte pattern, combining classic blue and white transferware with a playful English tableware form.
Shaped as a cow with the handle forming her tail, the creamer is decorated along both sides with abundant cobalt blue flowers and foliage against warm ivory ironstone. The cow’s sculpted head and face are left largely undecorated, giving the piece a particularly sweet character without feeling overly whimsical.
Made in England and clearly marked Charlotte, Royal Crownford, Ironstone, England on the base. A lovely piece for serving cream at the table, or simply tucked among a collection of blue and white china.
