A handsome pair of vintage English ironstone plates from J. & G. Meakin’s Romantic England collection. The rich red transferware design depicts historic Penshurst Place in Kent, surrounded by mature trees and grazing deer. A detailed border of flowers, berries, and trailing foliage finishes each gently scalloped plate.
At 6.75 inches, these are a lovely size for bread, dessert, appetizers, or a small side. Their classic red-and-white palette mixes beautifully with ironstone and other transferware and is especially fitting for an autumn or holiday table.
