A wonderfully playful blue and white porcelain cow creamer by Leander, made in the Czech Republic.
The traditional cow-shaped form is decorated in a crisp cobalt blue onion-style floral motif, with charming little details extending from her forehead and body all the way down to her feet and curled tail handle. Milk or cream is poured through the opening along the back and served through the cow’s mouth — an old-fashioned table form that is both useful and delightfully unexpected.
Marked Leander Porcelain 1946, Czech Republic on the underside. Leander continues to produce its porcelain in Loučky in the Czech Republic, and this cow form is part of its long-running tableware collection.
