An especially pretty antique Villeroy & Boch covered dish, circa 1900, featuring rosy red poppies and trailing green foliage against a creamy white background. Delicate brown accents, curved handles, a pedestal base, and a matching domed lid complete its graceful design.
The red and green palette is beautiful for the holidays. Nestle it among treasured transferware in a china cabinet or feature it on a dining room sideboard for a charming Christmas display. Its floral design is equally lovely to enjoy throughout the year.
Measures approximately 10″ × 7″. Marked “Villeroy & Boch, Dresden, Made in Germany” on the underside.
Condition: Age-related crazing, some discoloration and surface wear, and a hairline crack extending from the bowl’s rim, visible inside and outside. It remains a beautiful display piece. Recommended for decorative use; please review the detailed photographs.
Includes the covered dish and matching lid. Other styling pieces are not included.
